World Sport Group Names Sports Information Leader STATS as Official Data Source for Asian Football Confederation Events

In this multi-year agreement, STATS will provide live match and player statistics to broadcast, print, online and other media outlets for the AFC's key events including the AFC Asian Cup™ 2011 - Asia's top sporting event, the 2009 AFC Champions League - the region's premier club competition, and the Asian qualifying rounds for the FIFA World Cup 2010 and Olympic Games 2012 respectively.

The service which kicks-off with the Asian final qualifying round for the FIFA World Cup 2010 currently in progress will feature comprehensive data and editorial content that is also available on www.the-afc.com and www.the-afc.tv; both official websites of the AFC.
